Question: Hello everyone, long time user first time poster. I have an HDD I need to access but it is from a different PC that runs on Win 8. I tried just plugging it in to my PC, runs on Win 10, but my PC just displays “Reboot and select proper boot device”. I can boot into the Win 8 HDD but no one knows the password to get in. Is there a way to boot to my SSD with Win 10 on it and access the other HDD?

Buy a USB dock, like this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Docking-Station-Support/dp/B0099TX7O4

This other drive will be seen as any other USB drive.
You don’t boot from it.
