Question: My PC don’t recognize that HDD is attached.
I have a problem with HDD WD 4 TB Purple for video surveillance, I attach him externally via USB 2.0 and power and he begins to spinning and after that, he turns off spinning and I see him in disk mgmt
as a Disk 2 but I cannot him Initialize or anything else.
I have a video, so any help will be great. I think that spinning platters are good but I think that something else is off. I can send video to email or to share link on another place to see who think that can help.

It’s probably your USB to sata adapter or hdd power delivery.
Why don’t you connect the hdd internally? via sata data/power cables?
