Question: I have this laptop and i need an HDD that is not SATA apparently. This links shows the compatible HDD for my model on page 27 http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00246219 but i’m confused as to what size dimension i should get. For example this one in ebay seems to have to same connections but different height https://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-Hitachi-Dell-IC25T060ATCS05-0-07N8328-Laptop-60GB-5400RPM-ATA-IDE-2-5-HDD/202647308630?hash=item2f2eb88956:g:3sYAAOSwlY5bsAhc . I also like it because it has the biggest capacity AND speed compatible to my laptop according to to page 27. So would this work on the laptop? Thanks in advance.

Correct, that laptop is an early model that still used an IDE interface, 2.5 inch 9.5 mm height drive.

The used drive that you linked would fit.

The WD Scorpio Blue IDE drives come in sizes up to 160GB and are all 9.5mm height, like THIS ONE.
