Question: Hello,
I have a new hard drive that I would like to transfer all of my old stuff on. How do I go about doing that? I am not experienced in this field at all LiteBlue USPS.
Thanks
Answer:Connect the drive to your computer. Turn it on and boot to windows normally. If the drive is plugged in correctly you should be able to pull up disk management(Windows) or disk/ storage configuration(Linux/mac) and you should see a menu pop up to initialize a new drive. from there you can click on the drive listed as blank or unallocated space and partition it to your needs. you should then see the new partition in your file explorer and be able to copy and past or cut and past files to it.
If you are looking to clone drives(copy everything from one drive to another) I would connect the drive as normal or use a hard drive docking station that connects through usb. then use a program like Macrium Reflect or MiniTool Partition Wizard to select your drives and tell them to clone to the new hard drive.
Best of luck.
