Question: I have an old 3.5in internal hard drive from a windows 7 pc that I would like to get the data off of. I used a usb connector (non powered) to connect it to my current windows 10 pc. Windows 10 does not recognize it, not even in disc management. I need help and suggestions to retrieve my old windows 7 files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:Non powered? Does the drive spin up? If it spins up but isn’t recognized – that’s the USB interface- what is the interface on the win7 disk? SATA? if it’s SATA – then plug it into a SATA port on the inside of your PC…
