Question: So to make a long story short I recently purchased a desktop tower from a friend, it has a new graphics card and CPU, a nice MB and PSU, an HDD and two SSDs, etc.. My desktop is a bit older so I decided I wanted to clone my HDD and place it in the new desktop tower, so I did just that, after upgrading to Windows 10. Unfortunately the PC’s BIOS isn’t detecting my HDD in the Boot menu as an option, but it does show as being connected and working in the SATA 1 Port in Settings, and when I run Windows 10 I can even open the Local Disk folder. So what gives? If it’s running properly and I can open it then why can’t I boot it? After all my older desktop didn’t have any SSD’s just the singular HDD I cloned.
My overall goal is to make this HDD my primary drive, wipe the old SSD’s, then use one of them for the OS and the other a backup. Before I can do any of that I need to get my HDD to boot since it has all my data anyways. Can anybody suggest or help me?

Just install new windows on SSD without HDD present and connect it after windows are up and running. After that you could clean HDD out of all windows parts including their partitions without a letter.
