Question: Hello,

Awhile ago I accidentally broke the Sata connector on my hard drive (WD Black 3TB). I bought a new sata board off ebay and replaced it. This was not my main/boot drive.

I plugged the hard drive into a dock station and it doesn’t show up in file manager, but it shows up in Disc Manager as “Disc 3 Unknown Not Initialized”. I right click it but the “Initialize” button is greyed out. I can hear the hard drive spinning (not click, just working mechanically as it should).

What can I do? Thank you.

Looks like you need to move the bios ic from the old board to the new one.
