Question: Hello,

I recently installed a new SSD in my computer to go along with my HDD. I am not the most knowledged in this field, so I just wanted to assure that this won’t cause any problems. I have my old windows and all my software still installed on my old HDD. I was wondering if I should do a DDU to remove the radeon software or even just delete everything (I don’t need it.) Should I do this or just let it be?

Thanks.

Answer:So long as you reinstalled the OS onto the SSD and during the install process, you formatted the partition(s) whereby the OS used to reside on the HDD, then you shouldn’t be worried about deleting files off the HDD.

I’d ask you to backup all critical content from the HDD’s old OS install partition and format them.
